FAQ

How do I choose my meals each week?
Each meal plan is individually curated based on your needs. Each week we'll send you meal recommendations based on your preferences and past orders. You can always modify those recommendations before the cut-off time.
How are the shefs vetted?
Our culinary team seeks out chefs for our Weekly Shef Service with strong culinary backgrounds and chefs with a passion for ingredient quality & seasonality. Our team works with the shefs to curate the perfect menu, and each dish is taste-tested to ensure quality!
Are meals delivered ready to eat?
Shefs pride themselves in preparing their meals with fresh, local ingredients! All meals will arrive cold in an insulated bag with frozen ice packs and each dish will have a label that includes a "best by" date. Feel free to heat them up for dinner or put them in the refrigerator to enjoy later—completely up to you! If you'd like your meals to last longer, we suggest freezing them to enjoy when you're ready! Just heat, eat…and repeat!
Is this a subscription-based service?
We like to think of ourselves as a subscription service with unparalleled flexibility. You can cancel, skip or reschedule at any time as long as you do so before the cutoff period.

ABOUT

There are few moments more human than mealtime, and that’s why we created Shef - to bring humanity back to mealtime.

Growing up, our home revolved around the dinner table. Homemade meals both nourished our bodies and our souls, bringing us closer together and creating some of our best memories.

With Shef, you can put homemade meals on the table using a shared personal chef.
